I'm bloggin'!
The damned bookshop was closed today, didn't even give early notice ytd! Now I have to wait till school reopens to buy my exercise books and foolscap pads.
Gonna return the library books tomorrow. I borrowed 4, but only read 3... can't concentrate on the last book at all. maybe because the book seems so worn out and i can't look at the tiny little ugly-fonted words for long. or maybe because it's just boring.
And then, I'll have to look for more books.
REGRETS of 2009:
1. RS
2. Did not read books
3. Scoring really badly for oral and narrative writing :(
4. Eating too much and not exercising enough
5. Badminton!!! (can't do much about my athletic ability though)
6. Acting awkwardly. and stuff.
7. IT club (DIDN'T DO ANYTHING AT ALL. screwed the poster/design/whatever. AHH!!!)
8. History :(
9. Sleeping in French class (oops)
10. Screwing up piano exam hahahhahahaha!! nervousness even like 1 week before
etcetra...
Oh and you know what. I learnt how to polish boots! Finally. But I don't have a hairdryer at home so I can't polish my boots at home. Which is, sad, but not really.
I don't really want to go to the concert tomorrow. I'm going alone, I don't know where the UCC is (of course I'm going to google it later), I don't know whether I can just wear my class T + jeans, and I don't know how to come home. That reminds me, I haven't told my father about it. So I can ask him to bring me home yeah.
nvm.
bye :D

mangoes:D
hellooo. today was housewarming lunch + bbq and i ate a lot! am eating dried mangoes. <3
anyway. kinda sad that some secondary schools are already starting holidays for the students. but nvm, at least i'll have 2 more weeks of not doing nothing heh.
i took 3 days to complete 'Rendezvous with Rama'. Not three full days lah... but I couldn't read it in one sitting because I had to read not only slowly, but also a few times in some parts because the science fiction idea was a bit confusing... 3 more books to go! :)
just now, when my younger cousins from my mother's side came over, they were like playing this cooking game on y8.com. well you'd naturally link young children with dress-up games and all right? there were 3 of them, 2 girls and 1 boy. then when the younger girl came because she wanted to play some game, but i didn't know what she wanted to play, i just went to addictinggames.com but didn't find any game. anyway she just sat there and smiled politely. then i went to search 'girl games' and pressed 'dress-up games' and went to this website. she didn't seem interested, so i pressed bejewelled, but the game didn't load.
and then i asked her, do you have any website that you want to visit? then she was like whispering something, but i couldn't make out the whole thing, so i asked her to type the address. oh come to think of it, that was really, really slow. but that's kinda normal for preschoolers. and so soon came her other siblings. then i stood behind them and let them go whatever game they want, since they should have been to this website often enough to memorise its url. when they clicked cooking, i was like yeah okay. but then suddenly got this game about cooking a turkey. where you pluck its feathers off, cut off its head, take out its organs, stuff it with something, etc etc. i was like, is this really suitable for kids below 7 -.- i mean the oldest sister there was like 7 or 8... but still... hahaha!! exposed to such gory-ness from so young an age. i guess violence in online games is really a problem eh.
and this was further proven when my two other cousins who were sisters (and they really look similar!) came to play. oops, my computer had some wiring problems, but about 10 minutes later they came back to use the comp so i went off to read the book. and then.... when i returned like long long after that, i was curious as to what websites they went to :x and apparently it said, in the history, 'Violence games'. like you know, those websites with games in categories? yeah. i didn't visit the website, because i couldn't be bothered to, but you can tell!!! i mean, they aren't much younger than i am, but they have much, much younger siblings but they show them these bloody stuff and all. i mean it's not real, and does not necessarily lead to crime or anything, and not that they should not realise that violence is present in the world and that they should think of this world as simple and all (since they'll obviously get a "cultural shock" of some sort, quoting my cca seniors)... but to think of it as fun??? lol
lol
anyway the book was interesting :D it was about this "new planet" that supposedly sprung out of nowhere, because it orbits at a really high speed, and humans wanted to explore the planet/comet/whatever, but they had to do it before it gets too near to the sun or whatever. and the committee people and normal ppl argue about blahblahblah. but in the end nothing happened except that the astronauts got an interesting experience + some information that'll "keep the scientists busy for years".
i guess i just like sci-fi.
oh, i forgot to write that i sat for 2 selection tests. hope that it wasn't done badly.
and that i can get my 3.6 gpa overall next year!!!
ah man, and i have cca tomorrow, with full uniform and boots and all. keh. can't help not inserting "no hablo ingles" right here. which will definitely be what any ppl not from ug is thinking.
bye! <3

shingz!
hey man. sorry, please ignore the dumb title.
writing my goals for holidays and blahblahblah here just in case i forget.
1. write narrative, essays
2. read books, newspapers
3. keep a logbook of 1&2 and complete at least 1 each weekly.
4. read dictionary (lol)
kinda impossible for the unmotivated me haha. but whatever.
anyway.
today was netcarn.
i was like in the cheer comm lmao but after we got judged then i just went around following my class' players. drank 1 bubble tea (for the first time) that our FT bought for everyone.
ok anyway.
cca today was like, drill. hah......................................................................................... oh then we just started cracking up while doing the fall-in procedure?!! lol. i blame infectious laughter.
&like as expected i failed my drill test (during june corp's camp).
oh wait i just remembered, we should blog with a purpose. and not just rant. or something. huh. but i can't think of anything. oh let me tell you about my latest fetish.
Music lightens my mood, especially pop songs that I like. They're usually teenage love songs which are sweet and all, since most pop music is basically revolving around that theme. And then one day, I decided to try out beatboxing! By viewing tutorials online. Oh, but obviously I don't have much talent in this (or any other) aspect. However I find it really cool that I (yes, I) am able to create sounds similar (mind you, similar) to those that instruments make!!! Especially the trumpet and the bass and whatever! For the trumpet you just put your tongue on the roof of your mouth and sing anything, oscillating the lips. Ok whatever. So right now I'm trying to beatbox to a song but I can't find any beatbox notation or whatever for any song I know of and I don't know what to do now. I might even stop :( even though it's fun making these funny yet fun sounds. (omg, i'm ranting again.)
Strike that. Who cares.
Yeah anyway, that was obviously a failed attempt to write with a purpose. I guess the only time I can do that is when I'm given a topic. So I'll probably search online for topics! and complete my goals. yep. hahahahah
bye.

hello.
hi blog. no one reads except me :D
there was ra seminar today but i didn't go :(:( because i thought can't leave halfway leh... to hand in smp form... nvm i'll still try for the tests yeah
today was just talks. lit, s4 SL, career, AWWA... and we were like trying to get the netcarn cheer for monday done, but whatever. and srsly, they are asking us to wear jeans? have to change in and out in school, and fast, too. sian. and they're all like, no we must win cheers this year. wow.
can't access s2 announcements on inet. it's like irritating 'cos i might just miss announcements... nvm.
if i want to go for RA... or even if i don't get in, these are my academic goals for next year and blahblah!:
A's for english and chinese and ss
A+'s for math1, math2, bio, chem, physics, french, geog
Pass for rs, philo
i think it'll be hard... because i can't get/sustain high 4.0 aka 90%+ for SAs, for subjects i'm better at, and like PTs and stuff will definitely pull me down by quite a bit... essays too. plus english and chinese and ss. have no idea how hard ss will be yet. and like it's really hard to get A for el&chi for me loh. i'm like, this language idiot. my el oral just pass only leh. :[. 70%... that was pretty achievable in primary school, but now? esp with the different exam modes? hard, hard. i think the main thing for el&chi is compo/essay and compre. but duh i suck at them.
i think these goals are like quite easy for other people lah... some have even, already, gotten these, or way beyond. but not really for me. but there's nothing wrong with setting a high goal right? haha.
just ranting.
<3.

hi again
haha posting today again... when i've just posted ytd.
update! got back all the papers, but the thing is you can't always be sure about your own calculation, have to depend on the school computer and stuff. but anyway, i reached my target. as expected, didn't do really well for history (3/6 for similarities and differences question :() -- missed one mark to 4.0 -- and sadly, badly for english compre (just pass). blehhh. but overall still okay. yup.
tmr onwards is post-exam activities yay :D
trying out for SMP -- doubt will get in though. didn't write much :l well... i think rs sucks. if i don't get in for this thingy, i guess i'll try out for science rs? lol...
okay it's really late so i shall sign off now.
bye.
(no i'm not high!)
